Using Getresponse with Clickbank
Step 1: Select your ClickBank offer
The first thing you obviously have to do is select your ClickBank offer.
ALWAYS read the affiliate terms and conditions before promoting any offer – for example the Resurge offer does NOT allow you to promote on Google Ads under any circumstances… so you don’t want to do that and get banned from the network.
We never promoted a Tinnitus offer before, so let’s go ahead and promote the Sonus Solution as an example.
This product doesn’t have an affiliate page, so definitely email the affiliate manager and ask to see the terms and conditions of the product.
Step 2: Create your GetResponse landing page
Now that you selected your product, you’re ready to create a landing page for it.
Because the Sonus solution offer page is a big giant video, we can ask for emails from prospective clients in exchange for providing them with this free video that shows how to do xyz, in our case reveals the real cause of tinnitus.
So head over into GetResponse, click on landing page, and select from an existing template.
But to provide a more realistic example, we went ahead and selected a template and then just changed some things up, like the background image, headline and desciption, testimonials, and so on.
In the top-left corner, you can also select the thank you page tab, and just change the thank you page there. Take the affiliate link that you were provided from step 1 and add it to the button of the GetResponse thank you page.
Step 3: Set up ClickMagick conversion tracking
Tracking is absolutely essential as you already know, so I’m using ClickMagick to track my GetResponse landing/thank you page as well as the ClickBank offer.
But in GetResponse, you’re simply going to drag the JavaScript element ANYWHERE on the page and add the conversion tracking code to it. Don’t worry – it won’t be seen no matter where you put it.
Do the same for your thank you page with the action conversion code and you’re good to go – whenever someone lands on your landing page, signs up, and then buys, you’ll see everything.
Let’s head over to the last step now!
Step 4: Create the GetResponse autoresponder sequence
Lastly, you have to set up the actual autoresponder which will send out emails to prospects that sign up on your landing page.
So in GetResponse, click on “Lists” and first come up with a name for your autoresponder list.
If someone else in GetResponse is already using that name, unfortunately you can’t use it.
But create the name and then click on “Create Autoresponder” and just fill in the blanks.
Enter the name of the first email name, select when you want to send it (day 0 if immediately), and compose the actual email.
You want to give the prospects what they signed up for, and give a brief introduction of yourself as well as give them something to look forward to in your upcoming emails.
Ask them to make sure they whitelist you so they actually receive your emails, and then head back to your landing page settings and add this autoresponder to the page.
And that’s how you use ClickBank with GetResponse!
