Updated: Mar 18, 2021
Builderall and Kartra are both popular and powerful online marketing solutions, with numerous similarities and differences.
And it can be hard to know which platform is the best option for your next profit or revenue-generating campaign. That’s why I had to carry out in-depth research to come up with this unbiased article to help you make a favorable decision.
You’re only a few scrolls away to know which is right for you.
In this BuilderAll vs Kartra guide comparison review, we look at exactly what features and tools these two platforms provide, considering the user experience of each and discuss the pricing, packages, and ease of use.
Starting with BuilderAll:
What Is BuilderAll?
Builderall is a hosted sales funnel software and an all-in-one marketing system that comes with a plethora of features and functionalities.
Builderall poses as a great platform that contains all the tools every business owner needs to create and promote their business online.
Feature of Builderall
Pre-built sales funnels that could be edited.
Feature to create responsive drag and drop websites and blogs.
Features to create a mobile application in both platforms (i.e. Android and Ios)
Functionality to host webinar sessions.
Features of creating animated videos and floating videos.
Provides the feature of premium local and CDN ( Content Distribution Network) hosting
Facebook messenger chatbot
Flexibility to connect up to 15 domains.
Some of the other features which time won’t permit me to talk about are the membership site creator, heat mapping tool, split testing capability, blogging tool, Browser notification system, social media automation tool, Facebook pixel, share a locker, social proof tool, script generator, presentation builder and much more.
You will find up more than two dozen applications inside Builderall which can really be frustrating and overwhelming for a new user who is just looking for a simple solution to take care of funnel building and automation.
But overall – this is a good and pretty affordable marketing system.
Not forgetting our sole aim of this post, lets take a look at Kartra before we compare both tools and see which is best for your online needs.
What Is Kartra?
Kartra, on the other hand, is another all-in-one, fully hosted sales funnel builder for marketers and online entrepreneurs who have only been around for less than 2 years.
And has quickly gained popularity in the marketing space, compared to other popular software like ClickFunnels, Leadpages, and Convertri.
In fact, Kartra has recently won the hearts of many online businesses due to its range of complimentary marketing tools.
Kartra was created by and launched in April 2018 by Genesis Digital co. Same minds behind EverWebinar and WebinarJam.
Whatever your goal as an affiliate marketer, small business owner, agency, course creator, freelancer or any online business owner – you can use Kartra to host your business by using its funnel building tool, automation platform, helpdesk and some of its inbuilt functionalities to change lives and make money in return.
Features of Kartra
Kartra mail which allows you to easily drive clicks with nice-looking emails.
Kartra video which allows you to easily increase your conversions using video.
Kartra helpdesk which is a feature that not many other tool builders utilize today.
Kartra membership sites which are awesome for growing a nice little passive income.
Flexibility to sell both physical and digital products.
Critical analysis to grow and scale your business.
Affiliate management that helps to drive sales to your offers.
Kartra vs Builderall – Similar Features
#1: Both Drag and Drop UI & UX
Both tools provide its users with a visual drag-and-drop editor. Builderall has what is called the Pixel Perfect Builder, which is their drag and drop builder that lets you build pages.
But it happens that the editor can be confusing at times and connecting elements feels a bit cumbersome and intuitive.
For Kartra drag-and-drop editor which I’ve played with also – is a bit rigid compared to some page builders I’ve used in the past. Especially if you’re building from scratch.
Here, there is no absolute winner. It’s a 50/50 tie.
#2: Both Offers Pre-Built & Customizable Templates
As you can tell from our last section – Builderall and Kartra provide ranges of templates to help users to quickly and easily create appropriate web pages for their businesses.
When it comes to that of Builderall, the templates there are pretty sick and customizable! You get pre-made templates for sales pages, webinars, membership sites, product launches and few more.
While for Kartra the templates are on entirely another level as you get a separate tab for selecting page templates of any type and another for templates for campaigns/funnels.
Kartra campaigns (built by talented marketers) come with all the pages, automation, and elements you need to launch at ago (depending on your goal).
#3: Both Has Marketing Automation
Builderall MailingBoss is responsible for handling all your email marketing and automation task and it’s not bad from what I saw.
As for Kartra, I would say that it comes with a better-inbuilt automation capability because it has an extra feature called Kartra forms which allows you to create variations of lead generation forms it works with the rest of your campaigns.
Another high side is the automation workflow builder called the Sequence Builder which is also more polished than Builderall’s.
#4: Membership & Course Hosting
This a feature found on both platforms that I didn’t take much time to analyze though. All I know is that you can host your online courses on both platforms and grant access to whoever you want.
On Builderall, you start creating one with the responsive builder. While on Kartra there is an easy-to-follow wizard that guides you through the configuration of your course members area.
#5: Webinar Builds
For Webinar funnels, I give Builderall a win because you basically carry everything within the platform from streaming to hosting (no webinar integration required). And you can also carry out an evergreen webinar with a ghost audience.
Unlike Kartra where you will have to integrate its sister tools – WebinarJam or EverWebinar before you create your marketing presentations.
Other similar features include heat mapping, integrations, split testing, support, and documentation.
#6 Affiliate Program
Both tools have an affiliate program you can promote them and earn recurring income an affiliate.

Builderall vs Kartra – Differences
Another crucial aspect of the comparison is the differences between both platforms. Let’s delve in now and talk about their core differences.
What’s in Builderall and not Kartra and vice-versa?
Builderall Features That Aren’t in Kartra
Animation and video editor
Browser notification system
Ecommerce tool integration
Facebook Messenger chatbot
Autopost for social media
Social Proof software
A content share locking feature
Kartra Features That Aren’t in Builderall
Calendar and event booking tool
Behavioral Adaptive Marketing (BAM) technology
Progress bars for membership sites
Builderall vs Kartra – Pricing
Pricing is another area where Builderall and Kartra greatly differ. So, let’s take a look at their plans, and what they offer.
Builderall used to have 3 pricing options – but after the update from 2.0 to 3.0, it turned into a two-tier pricing plan model. Oh, I didn’t forget about the free 7 days trial.
The Essential plan of $29.90/mo
The Builderall Essential plan leaves you limited to only 10,000 leads on MailingBoss, the Site Builder tools, and few other features.
For the Premium plan of $69.90/mo
This plan unlocks all the other tools within Builderall and you get unlimited leads with MailingBoss. You also qualify to promote Builderall as an affiliate which isn’t possible on the Essential plan.
Kartra starts with a $1 commitment for a 14-days trial period then offers the below monthly pricing plans:
Starter plan costs $99/mo with up to 2,500, 1 custom domain, 15k emails/mo, 2 membership sites, 100 pages. With all the features Kartra offers.
Silver plan costs $199/mo with up to 12,500 contacts, 3 custom domains, 125k emails/mo, hosts unlimited pages and members area.
Other Kartra plans include the Gold and Platinum plan costs $299/mo and $499/mo respectively. There is also an annual option that cuts all Kartra plan by 25%.
Which Is Good For Me?
As you can see, Builderall is a much cheaper product that contains numerous tools and applications and is ideal for those creating a new business or website on a budget.
On the other end of the spectrum is Kartra, with high price points that reflect its more advanced features. This makes Kartra more attractive to bigger businesses looking to utilize sales funnels to increase conversions.
Without overwhelm and confusion. One of the biggest problems of Kartra is that they seem to be so focused on adding a bunch of tools over and over to their platform. And this makes it suffers as “jack of all trade” and “master of none” type of platform.
None of their tools is best in class!
It would be great if Builderall focuses on being a complete marketing tool-suite that helps serve business in getting more customers that makes me more money using sales funnels instead of just bombarding me with 30 tools that get me scared and frustrated.
The only way I see Builderall compete with Kartra is the pricing point and its good affiliate program for you to promote.
Should I Switch from Kartra To Builderall?
Still, before deciding on Kartra vs Builderall, make sure you think about what your marketing needs are. Take into consideration your budget, the size and type of your business, as well as your own tech-savviness.
If you’re a beginner and you’re only worried about the budget, then Builderall might be a good place to start. On the other hand, Kartra pricing might not be an issue for a bigger company that’s looking for a sturdy online marketing alternative.
I understand that Kartra has a higher price point to start with, while Builderall is a pretty cheap option. But it all depends on what you have at your disposal. More time or more money?
If still, you are confused, watch this video.
In my experience, Kartra saved me more time than Builderall, but more expensive with a better conversion-focused experience. If you have more time and less budget then it’s wise to switch.
